A short film (12 mins) that blends the harsh reality of life in the decaying middle class with the surreal world of alien and UFO folklore as seen in countless fringe TV shows like Bob Lazar: Area 51 and Flying Saucers (Netflix), Ancient Aliens (History Channel) and throughout the vast network of YouTube conspiracy (Vice, Joe Rogan.) Inspired by the work of humanist filmmakers like Sean Baker (Florida Project, Tangerine) and Andrea Arnold (American Honey) this magical slice of life film seeks to turn the realism genre on its head with its experimental use of old Hollywood practical effects, home movies, and animation while simultaneously touching on the themes of escapism, family dysfunction, and poverty, revealing horror in the mundane and truth in our wildest fantasies.
